VaazMe Sdn Bhd [202201035136 (1480833-W)] (“VaazMe” or “we”) collects digital records for the purposes of verifying information provided on behalf of our customers (“Users” or “you”).
This document provides an explanation of how we gather, store, share and use your personal information, the steps we take to protect your privacy, and how we may collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information.
It covers all personal information (“Data”) provided to us by you as well as other individuals who have given their consent to us to conduct or to otherwise use our services. This is conducted in compliance with the requirements of applicable privacy law, including but not limited to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“the Act”). For the purposes of this document, the term “personal data” shall have the same meaning as prescribed in the Act, and includes “sensitive personal data” as defined by the Act.
VaazMe currently offers online services on vaaz.me or www.vaaz.me (“Online Services”) and may offer relevant mobile applications (“Apps”) in the future.
Data We Collect & How We Collect Them
When you create an account and/or use our online services, the data that you provide will be received and stored by us. This includes verification-related data for the purposes of carrying out identity-, document-, and data-verification services. Verification-related data may include your name, date and place of birth, address, contact details (such as telephone number and email address), identification details (such as your NRIC details or passport details or driver’s licence details) and biometric information (such as facial images and fingerprints).
Before collecting this data from you, we first obtain your express consent before you use our online services. Verification data is collected by us through electronic interfaces. We may also collect personal information from public sources and other third party entities that provide various verification-related services, which includes but isn’t limited to: credit scores, police reports, voter registration, vehicle registration, social media accounts, educational or employment background.
When you interact with us over the course of normal business operations, such as forming a vendor relationship, submitting a job application to be employed by us, or enquiring about our services, the data that you provide will also be received and stored by us. This includes your name, address, and contact details (such as telephone number and email address). Collection can occur in a number of different ways, such as by online forms, email, secure direct transmission, telephone, mail and in person.
Failure to provide the personal information when prompted in the scenarios described above may result in an inability to access our services or an inability to interact with us over the course of normal business operations.
Your data may be transferred to, stored, processed, and disclosed in a jurisdiction other than Malaysia, as VaazMe’s information technology storage facilities and servers may be located in other jurisdictions.
The data that is provided over the course of fulfilling a request for information from a VaazMe user will be retained for 14 days upon completion of said request. After 14 days, your data will be permanently removed from the VaazMe system and stored offline indefinitely. This data will not be accessible to any persons, and will only be retrieved where necessitated by law enforcement or in compliance with any government bodies or statutory bodies. This excludes all other user activities wherein data is collected, including but not limited to: creating an account, making a payment, sending correspondence, submitting a job application.
Why We Collect Your Data
We may collect, store, process, and disclose verification data for the purpose of providing data verification services, which includes the return of a check result to the customer that has requested it, as well as the following purposes:
- To provide you with access to our services, whether as the party requesting for data or the party providing the data;
- To charge you for using our services;
- To respond to any enquiries and communication that we receive about our services;
- To collect feedback about our services;
- To send you periodic promotional emails about our services, new products or features, special offers, or other relevant information that may interest you (unless you have told us that you do not want to receive such information);
- To carry out any processes related to the services that we provide with third parties;
- To verify accounts and activities, and to take any necessary precautions to prevent harmful activity in order to maintain the integrity of our company and products;
- To consider and process employment applications;
- To comply with any requirement of law, order of any court or tribunal, or any direction from the government or any statutory authority; and
- Any other purposes which are disclosed at the time of collection or which you consent to or are required to by law.
Your data will never be sold to advertisers or other businesses that may use your data for marketing purposes.
How To Access, Update Or Correct Your Data
You can contact us to ask for access to your data provided to us or request to have it updated or corrected. We will always confirm your identity before giving access or making any changes. We reserve the right to decline your request to access or to update your personal information for the reasons permitted under s.32 of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, and will inform you of the reason why your request was denied.
If you wish to have your data removed from our records, you may request that it be removed or destroyed. It may not always be possible to comply with your request.

We will take reasonable steps to ensure that the data we collect, store, process, or disclose is accurate, complete and up to date at the time of collection. When accessing our services, you will be able to confirm that the information that you provided is true and correct prior to submitting the information.
